TVNZ, Surafend and Broadcasting Standards

Standing on twisted fired brick, reinforcing steel and pre-stretched concrete, Sunday reporter Sinclair gets it all terribly wrong as he assures viewers that this is not a British Army Barracks destroyed by artillery and rocket fire in 1948 - But the remains of the mud brick and rock Arab Village of Surafend - destroyed in 1918 - rebuilt on the same site 1919/20 and subsequently destroyed and flattened to the ground in the 1950's to make way for an airport.
Just how wrong can you be - well a lot more.

But the Broadcasting Standards Authority we made complaints to about the accuracy of this programme seemed to think it was OK - they have assured us that as of last year it doesn't matter if programmes mislead - really???
Whats your take on the slipping standards of reporting and research?
