.50BMG ID

Postby maxq » Wed Jan 26, 2005 5:22 pm

I recently acquired a .50BMG round with a Maroon tip which i assume is a tracer round ?? maybe a 'dark start" ?

It was my understanding that red tips were immediate ignition and brown tips were 'dark start' in .50 ammunition.

And if anybody has a green tip Raufoss round they would like to sell please PM me. I have a spare API if someone would like to trade ?

Cheers
Stefan
